A FAMILY BARN TRANSFORMED INTO A HIGH ALTITUDE HUT.
The recovered stone walls, the staircase that climbs around the fireplace, mangers as steps, the imposing ancient beams that support the mezzanine… none of these was in the barn, completely empty and bare. Yet the result is a hut with an authentic style, thanks to the choice of materials and inhomogeneous objects once used by the inhabitants of this valley.
The staircase is remarkable. It has been built together with the side wall and the fireplace, in order to fit the steps between the stones. A small recess created between the staircase and the fireplace works as wines’ showcase…what a smart solution!!
